Mr. Madhavan , Nice to know about you , an American by name Robert Lester made a research and published paper on our community. I hail from Jagtial district of Telangana. There are several temples which have priests from Chattada Sri Vaishnava community. There are some ancient temples , some of which are very big temples like Anjaneya swamy temple. My own ancestors were priests of very old temple at Venkata Pur of Korutla. It’s caste got evolved from Srivaishnav Brahmins or the pre Ramanuja period’s bhagawatars. They were also treated to be very close desciples of Ramanuja Charya, who were sent to propagate Vaishnavism, it is told that they sacrificed their samskaras like janues etc. So that they can reach poorer sections.
